ABOUT THE ARCHITECT, TOM FAZIO
Renowned for his noteworthy achievements and credits, Tom Fazio is recognized by most as the top golf course architect in the world. In a survey conducted by Golf Course News, his peers named him the Golf Course Architect of the Year from 1989 through 1993. The very next year, Golf Digest awarded Fazio all three Best New Course awards in the public, private and resort categories - a first for any architect! In 1995, he was also named the best present-day architect by Golf Digest magazine. Throughout his career, Fazio designed four of Golf Digest’s Best New Private Courses in America in a six-year stretch, received 20 Best-in-State designs among 13 states, and eight of his designs rank in Golf Digest’s Top 100 to this day.
