2010 Club Team Championship Headed to Briggs Ranch

The Club Team Championship presented by Golfweek will be held at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio on April 24-25. This will be the first TGA championship to be hosted at the highly touted Briggs Ranch. For a relatively new club, which was designed by Tom Fazio, it has garnered a sterling reputation and the chance to play there is one not to be missed. With the fantastic support of Briggs Ranch and Golfweek, this year’s Club Team will be better than ever and is a great way to kick off the season.

Briggs Ranch features bent-grass greens, Zeon Zoysia fairways (the only one in Texas), and supreme Hill Country terrain that, despite being only 20 minutes from downtown San Antonio, is surprisingly void of urban sprawl. Fazio was able to create the par-72, 7,308-yard layout on a tremendous piece of land west of San Antonio. Opening to rave reviews in 2001, Briggs Ranch was named as being the fourth-ranked “Best New Private Course of 2002” as rated by Golf Digest as well as #38 among “Golfweek’s Top 100 Best Modern Courses of 2007”.
